The official advertising has begun. I have created a flyer and tablecards and I am working on a poster (waiting on a picture to wrap that up). From there, I will begin work on the program. The advertising packet is out on the streets to see who might be interested in advertising in our program.

We will be having an artist get-together next Saturday to introduce ourselves, meet one another, talk personally with everyone and get to know their needs. We're all very excited to see this coming together! Heather, Jen and I have been talking about something like this for years now!

So I purchased this beautiful bedlah on a whim because I fell in love with the brown/blue snake print fabric. A very pretty warm brown with a cool blue. Unfortunately, it does not fit me properly so it needs a new home. I have never worn it except to attempt to put it on. FYI - the colors in the last 3 pics are more accurate.

A Performance in Support of Women’s Month and the Community Arts Office and Information Center

Celebrate Women’s Month by being inspired by some of the local muses of the New River Valley. This performing arts showcase will feature a variety of talented female artists highlighting: Catherine Breske, the Contemporary Dance Ensemble of Virginia Tech, Mandara Dance, Isabelle Marchand, Kat Mills, Aileen Murphy, Joni Pienkowski, and Patty Raun. You will be graced by their artistry and be moved by their creativity as we come together to support the Community Arts Office and Information Center that serves to foster and promote arts and culture in the New River Valley.

The Lyric, the Community Arts Office and Information Center, Mandara Dance, the Women’s Center of Virginia Tech and the YMCA at Virginia Tech are sponsoring this event.
